Booking and cancellation

By paying the session fee, the client accepts these terms and the booking becomes valid.

The client has the right to cancel the session before the invoice due date and receive a full refund. For cancellations made after that date, the fee is non-refundable. Cancellations must be made via e-mail or phone.

In the event of illness, the client should notify the photographer as soon as possible. The session can be rescheduled to another date within 6 months.

If the baby is born before the scheduled session has taken place, the client will receive a gift card equal to the amount paid. The gift card is valid for 6 months and can be used for another photography session.

Photography area

The photographer primarily works within the Turku region.

For sessions located more than 30 km from the photographer’s home address (Piispanristi), a travel fee of 0.69 €/km will be charged, unless otherwise agreed.

Fees and payment

The photography session is carried out according to the price list valid at the time of booking. The total cost consists of two parts; the session fee and the photographs selected by the client. All prices include VAT 25.5 %.

The session fee is paid at the time of booking. Payment is made via e-mail invoice, with a payment term of 14 days unless otherwise agreed. The payment term may be shorter if the booking is made close to the session date, as the invoice must be paid before the session takes place.

The selected photographs (and any add-ons) are paid for after the session. Payment is made via e-mail invoice, with a payment term of 14 days unless otherwise agreed.

Artistic style and editing

The client has familiarized themselves with the photographer’s style prior to booking. The client understands that varying weather, lighting conditions, and environments affect the final result.

Editing includes basic adjustments as well as the removal of blemishes such as pimples, mosquito bites, and bruises according to the client’s wishes.

Retouching or manipulation (such as removing objects) is not included.

The client may not further edit the photographs or apply filters.

Proofing gallery

The client will receive login details for their proofing gallery within 7 days after the session. The proofing gallery will remain open for image selection for 7 days. The client may choose digital photographs, physical products, or both. There is no obligation to purchase.

A fee of 30 € will be charged to re-open the proofing gallery.

The photographs in the proofing gallery are for viewing purposes only and may not be copied or used as they are. Unauthorized use will be charged.

Delivery method and time

Digital photographs are delivered as JPG files via a password-protected online gallery within 3 days after payment has been received. The images are optimized for printing and web use. The online gallery will remain available for 1 year.

Raw files (unedited digital photographs) are not delivered.

Physical products are produced within 7–14 days after payment has been received and are then shipped with tracked delivery, unless otherwise agreed.

Tracked domestic shipping is included in the product prices. Tracked international shipping can be arranged upon request, and the actual delivery costs will be added.

Copyright and usage Rights

The client may use the purchased photographs freely for personal purposes. When publishing on social media, the photographer’s name should be credited in the caption.

The client may not use or transfer the photographs for commercial purposes without a separate agreement. The client is not permitted to sell the material.

Copyright is retained by the photographer. In order to operate their business, the photographer retains the right to display their work (portfolio, website, social media), unless otherwise agreed.

Back-up

The photographer brings a back-up set of camera, lenses, batteries, and memory cards to the session.

The photographer backs up the digital files and stores them on a password-protected external hard drive and in a cloud service for a period of 1 year.

Force majeure

If the material cannot be delivered due to theft or another unforeseen event, the photographer will offer a new equivalent session/product free of charge, or refund the amount paid to the client. The photographer is not obliged to provide any further compensation.

The photographer is not responsible for color reproduction or the quality of physical products that the client produces themselves.
